LANCÔME

Lancôme Beauty Tech House: production of a pop-up that combines beauty and technology

The Challenge

Creating a 300 m² ephemeral space in just 3 weeks of production and 3 days of installation. To turn a defined 3D design into a real, functional, immersive environment, aligned with the Lancôme universe and without sacrificing a single detail.

All of this with an added requirement: coordinating multiple external actors, resolving technical challenges of the location and adapting to a change of location mid-process, with no margin for error and with premium standards.

The Result

An immersive and impactful pop-up, visually powerful and with a proposal that combines beauty and technology, managing to faithfully reflect the identity of Lancôme as a leading brand in innovation and luxury. The Beauty Tech House stood out for its high level of craftmanship, functionality and aesthetics. The project exceeded all expectations, consolidating INSTORE’s ability to execute highly complex ephemeral productions in record time, without compromising excellence.

Introduction

A Beauty Tech Player pop-up

Lancôme, L’Oréal’s iconic brand, opted for a brand activation format that worked very well at the last edition. The Beauty Tech House, an ephemeral, high-impact pop-up designed to connect technology, science and beauty in a brand experience.

What was on the table was not just an attractive design: it was the need to execute a flawless technical production, in complicated logistical conditions and with very small margins for error. At INSTORE we activated all our departments – operational, technical and creative – to execute with precision, agility and commitment.

The Development

From the Concept to Experience

The project started with a clear vision: to transform an idea into a physical environment without losing an ounce of creative intent. From the outset, we took on the total coordination of the technical development, production of elements, logistics and installation.

We worked on adapting the 3D design provided by the client to the actual conditions of the physical space. This involved constant technical reviews, structural simulations and strategic decisions to maintain aesthetics without sacrificing assembly viability.

“Creative engineering for a premium experience”

Production was distributed among our in-house carpentry, locksmith and signage workshops, ensuring maximum control over materials, finishes and execution times. In parallel, we designed tailor-made logistics to coordinate special transports, access permits and staggered assembly, in synchronisation with the installation times of other external suppliers.

“A production with high impact quality standards”

Each part was manufactured with maximum precision criteria, considering its integration with the other parts of the assembly and its behaviour in the real environment. The choice of materials and fixing systems was key to ensuring durability, aesthetics and transportation.

The installation phase, carried out in just three days, was an exercise in technical coordination and operational efficiency. Part of the team moved forward with the decoration of the space and the other managed infrastructure assemblies, adapting to the pace of assembly of the environment.

The result was a smooth installation, without interferences or delays, which met all functional, visual and branding requirements.

The logistical phase was especially critical. A detailed plan was devised to transport each component with specialised vehicles, manage access and municipal permits, and coordinate timing with third parties, ensuring that all parts fit together seamlessly.

The keys to an impactful event

01

Precise adaptation

The original design was adjusted with constructive solutions that respected aesthetics without compromising technical feasibility and structural safety.

02

Unique Production

The distribution of the work between carpentry, locksmithing and signage made it possible to speed up times without sacrificing detail or quality in the results.

03

Premium Quality

Each element was manufactured with premium materials and under strict quality controls to ensure durability, presence and alignment with Lancôme brand identity.

04

Beauty Tech Player

L’Oréal, the group to which Lancôme belongs, is a leader in innovation in the beauty industry, driving the technological transformation of the sector as one of the world’s leading beauty tech players. This project had to live up to that vision: every decision – from the materials to the technological integration of the space – had to reflect the avant-garde character of the brand and its commitment to sensorial experiences based on science, beauty and interaction.

05

Experience and commitment

Beyond the technical resources, the success of the project relied on a team that was committed, decisive and experienced in complex installations under pressure. A great project needs more than materials or processes: it needs commitment, ingenuity and people who believe in what they do.

“A project where every detail counts”

The Outcome

Premium brand experience

The Beauty Tech House became a benchmark for what it means to create a premium brand experience: an immersive, innovative and memorable space, able to surprise and excite. The activation met all the objectives: attracting the attention of the public, media and influencers, strengthening Lancôme’s positioning and demonstrating that when design, execution and commitment work in sync, the results are extraordinary.

At INSTORE, we believe that true luxury is not just in the materials, but in the ability to solve, adapt and respond with excellence, even in the most complex scenarios.
